What is the Anthropocene H Era Calendar
H = CE + 10000
Anthropocene = Common Era + 10000
The Anthropocene (aka the Holocene Era, demarcated by a letter-H) is an initiative to use a calendar with a year-zero beginning at 10,000 years before the common era. In the Common-Era or Christian-Era or Ano-Dominae calendar system (as well as other historical-cultural calendar systems) a complicated equation is needed to designate a difference between positive numbers and negative numbers - which have a Before- prefix that is the number of years Before-calendar-zero, added to the current calendar year, to equal the total years Before-Present. In the Anthropocene calendar, all legible written records of human history are represented by positive numbers (between 0 and the current year of 12022) and calendar dates are easily converted from widely popular Common Era calendars by simply adding a 1 to the beginning of the calendar year.
This calendar system allows for a more complete representation, and understanding of human history from the beginning until the present.
